Calverley has kept its village character better than most places this close to both Leeds and Bradford: a conservation area of stone cottages, a medieval church and Calverley Old Hall sitting in the middle of it.
Period property is its own discipline. Thick stone walls, oak beams and original features mean you cannot simply chase a route through and make good afterwards, and in a conservation area the visible choices matter. We plan routes to be as unobtrusive as possible, use surface containment where cutting in would do damage, and agree fitting positions before anything is drilled rather than after.
Alongside the older stock there is a good amount of comfortable detached housing around Victoria Park and Calverley Lane, where the work tends to be extensions, garden rooms, outdoor lighting and chargers rather than rewires.
